Your agent needs access to the actual generated files and permission to send outbound HTTP requests. A skill or instructions page cannot grant either permission.

If a web-based agent cannot upload, export the files and use an environment that can read them and reach Sharework. Support depends on the agent's execution mode and network settings.

Viewer URL: This is the link to share. Anonymous artifacts are available for 24 hours. If you set a viewing password, viewers need it to open the work.
Private management link: Keep this in your private conversation. It grants control to update files, set or replace a password, delete the artifact, or sign in and claim it. Never include it in the artifact itself.

Claiming removes anonymous expiry and preserves the viewer URL, subject to account limits. A viewing password grants viewing access, not editing rights.

What can I publish?

HTML with supporting images, scripts and styles; Markdown and text; PDFs; images; and browser-playable MP4, WebM or Ogg video. Multiple supporting files still make one artifact.

Video playback depends on browser codec support. Sharework does not run uploaded server code or transcode video. Current upload limits are listed in the live publishing instructions.

Prefer the helper or API?

The portable publishing helper needs Node.js 22 or newer, file read/write access, and outbound network access. Download and inspect it before running. No MCP installation is required.

Supply explicit relative file paths, with the entrypoint first. Keep its private state file outside the artifact. Your environment must reach app.sharework.app, sharework.app and artifact-specific subdomains.

The machine-readable instructions explain the current REST API, helper invocation, limits and error handling. Ask your agent to retrieve the viewer URL after uploading; a success message alone does not prove the work is live.
